Fox Valley Home Day Care

We have had our children in the care of Fox Valley Home Day Care (FVHDC) for 5 years now.  Our oldest son, who is 5, has been going to FVHDC since the age of 5 months, and we have been very pleased with the care he has received.  Our youngest is almost 14 mos and he has been with Amy and her staff since he was 3 months old. 

Amy is an intelligent, loving and supportive individual; she is a terrific role model.  She is extremely reliable, organized, and has excellent communication skills.  She is genuinely interested in what the child has experienced during the hours before her care, and she uses that information to assess the child's behavior while in her care.  She is very thorough when providing and receiving information at drop-offs, pick-ups, or at any other time during the day, over the phone or in person.

Amy is also interested in our children's typical routines at home.  While she has encouraged our children to adapt to a day care environment, she has always made our children feel "at home," especially during the transition phase when they were  first placed in her care.  She has always been willing to do whatever we would like her to do to make our children comfortable in her home

Amy has a sincere interest in the development of children.  She has developmental toys for all ages and encourages the children to explore, interact and use their imagination.  She also provides a preschool curriculum for the preschool age.  Amy also recognizes the importance of sleep for children, and she encourages adequate, age-appropriate naptime.

One last note is that her backyard is a child's fantasy world!  She has swings for the little ones, a jungle gym with a huge slide, play trucks, cars, tricycles, and tons of other outdoor toys.  They enjoy picnics outside, nature walks and even water fun in the summer.  Our oldest son is typically in the thick of all the outdoor activities when we pick him up and is disappointed when he sees us - very bittersweet.

Our children have been happy in Amy's care, have made lots of friends,  and we feel they are in safe hands when we are at work.

Fox Valley Home Day Care is one of the best places on earth. My child loves going! It is amazing all the skills my child has learned from Fox Valley Home Day Care. Before the age of three our child already knows colors, numbers, the beginning steps of writing, and what a vocabulary! The Staff is 110% committed to my child's well being and development. I'm fully confident that Fox Valley Home Day Care will help me show my child all the things this world has to learn and experience.

My son has been attending Fox Valley Home Day Care for almost 2 years now. I cannot say enough positive things about Amy and her staff. We chose to go with an at-home day care because we like the individual care our son would receive. Fox Valley Home Day Care has reassured us that we made the right decision.

We enjoy the fact that the person he is dropped off to is the person I see when he is picked up. We like the ongoing communication we have with our day care provider. The stability is a high priority for my husband and I. When we drop off our child at Fox Valley Home Day Care, he wants to see his friends and play, when we pick him up, he does not want to leave, he is having so much fun. We are extremely pleased with the educational, social and developmental environment that our son is learning in. The new curriculum gives him an opportunity to explore and learn more.

Another aspect of Fox Valley Home Day Care is the FOOD...our son loves the meals (especially noodles with white sauce) and we are happy that he is fed healthy nutritious meals and snacks.

Fox Valley Home Day Care (FVHDC) has been a huge blessing to my family. My son has been attending daycare for about 8 months, and I was intantaneously pleased and comforted by the immediate, honest and caring communication from the staff. Some of the most important parts of my child's day are provided in abundance -- excellent education, safe home environment, oustanding moral and good behavior enforcement, and my child's contentment, happiness and health. I think of myself as a parent who might excessively worry about my child in someone else's care, and the only thing I can say about FVHDC is that I DON'T WORRY! One of my greatest joys is knowing that my son enjoys his time at daycare, and that he has a fulfilled day interacting with his classmates and learning. I am extremely excited to know that when I am unable to care for my son, I have the FVHDC staff to be a blessing to my family and provide superior care for my most valuable gift, my child.
