We Care For What You Love Most
PHILOSOPHY

At Fox Valley Home Day Care we will assist your child in becoming socially and emotionally adjusted by helping him/her achieve self-confidence and experience the joy of learning through play, observation and interactions with peers. The children will engage their bodies and minds, as learning emerges through their play.

Fox Valley Home Day Care will provide a cheerful home-like atmosphere, attentive care and creative educational opportunities. Your child will be encouraged to explore, question and develop at his/her own pace. THE PROGRAM

We believe that young children learn through play and should have opportunities to explore and discover on their own and with other children. Throughout the week a wide variety of activities are planned and available for the children to meet their needs and interests. These activities are:

MUSIC: Songs, fingerplays, creative movement, etc.

ART: paintings, clay creations, collages, crayons, etc.

DRAMATIC PLAY: dress-up clothes, props, dolls, housekeeping, play materials, etc.

LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT: stories, reading, special events, show and tell, etc.

MANIPULATIVES: (fine motor) puzzles, beads, blocks, etc.

GROSS MOTOR: indoor and outdoor, swings, slides, tricycles, etc.

In addition, we offer a planned thematic curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for the children in day care. Daily activities are planned around the theme. The activities vary for the age and skill level of the children. These activities are considered preschool readiness for the children age 2-3 years of age. A preschool curriculum is used for the children ages 3-5, according to the Illinois Early Learning Standards.

Our preschool program focuses on providing early learning skills. We plan literacy, science and math activities that correspond to play opportunities. Our curriculum is reinforced through play opportunities to promote a love for learning and the natural curiosity of children. If you are looking for preschool only contact the director for information about how we can accommodate either an am or pm preschool program for your child.

For the school age children, we plan a variety of activities based on their interests, skills and the Theme
.
